Background
This project was a redesign of an existing portfolio website of Nashit, AI Developer. The redesign included creating an impactful visual identity, building a design system with consistent icons, improving usability, and designing custom project thumbnails to present the developer's work more consistently and visually engaging.
The goal was to "Design a clean, responsive portfolio website with a strong identity & clear navigation that enhances user engagement."

Design System
First, I analyzed the existing website to see what worked and what needed improvement. Then, I explored other portfolio websites for inspiration, identifying new sections need to be added and better layout ideas.
Using these insights, I experimented with different structures and refined the direction. I created custom project thumbnails and built a set of reusable components as part of a consistent design system.
Finally, I designed the full desktop version and then adapted it into a fully responsive layout for seamless performance across devices.
Outcome
In the end, I delivered fully responsive website with small design system including fonts, icons, colors and reusable components for future scalability of site.
I added some mock-ups along side the prototype of website to demonstrate the interaction in site and how it's looking on mobile device.
Key Takeaways
Every project is also a learning opportunity and this project taught me about designing responsive websites in Figma. A single frame that dynamically changes it's content based on the width of frame.
